At Novergy we believe the time has come for zero emissions with zero subsidy
Solar is now one of the world’s leading sources of electricity generation, with more than 2TW of solar PV capacity installed globally. In the UK, over 21GW of solar PV is operational today, supplying around 6% of the country’s electricity demand.
In 2019, the UK Government became the first major economy to commit to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Delivering this target will require significant growth across renewable energy generation, energy storage and grid infrastructure.
Solar energy is not only zero-emission, but also one of the most cost-effective forms of electricity generation. Falling equipment costs and continued technological improvements now mean that large-scale solar projects can deliver competitively priced electricity without government subsidy.
The UK needs substantial new renewable energy capacity, and Novergy is committed to playing an active role in that transition.
The Novergy team has one of the strongest track records in the UK solar PV sector, with direct involvement in the development of more than 1GW of utility-scale solar projects across the UK.
Novergy focuses on the origination, development, design, financing and delivery of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
Since inception, the Novergy team has successfully developed five solar and storage projects totalling approximately 250MW.

“Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly.” – United Nations 2019
